Sitiwork Code of Conduct

At Sitiwork, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and professional environment for both domestic helpers and service seekers. Our Code of Conduct is designed to outline acceptable behaviour and to set clear expectations for everyone using our platform.

By using Sitiwork, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct. Violations of this Code may result in suspension, termination of your account, or legal action.

1. Respect and Professionalism

  • Mutual Respect: All users must treat each other with courtesy, respect, and professionalism at all times.
  • No Hostility: Offensive, abusive, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Professional Communication: Users should maintain polite and professional communication, whether via the platform or during in-person interactions.

2. Discrimination and Harassment

  • No Discrimination: Sitiwork has a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or nationality.
  • Prohibition of Harassment: Users must refrain from any form of harassment, including verbal, physical, or emotional abuse. This includes, but is not limited to, bullying, intimidation, and offensive jokes or comments.

3. Sexual Misconduct

  • Zero Tolerance for Sexual Harassment: Any form of sexual harassment, whether verbal, physical, or otherwise, is strictly prohibited. This includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favours, or any behaviour that creates an intimidating or hostile work environment.
  • Reporting Sexual Harassment: Domestic helpers or service seekers who experience or witness any form of sexual misconduct are encouraged to report it immediately to Sitiwork. All reports will be taken seriously and handled with discretion. We may suspend or terminate the accounts of users found to be in violation.

4. Consensual Sexual Engagement

  • No Sexual Engagement During Service: Sitiwork prohibits any form of consensual sexual engagement between domestic helpers and service seekers during the course of service provision. The platform is intended solely for professional domestic services.
  • Consequences: If both parties are found to have engaged in consensual sexual activity during service delivery, their accounts will be terminated immediately, and they will be banned from further use of the platform. Any existing or future bookings will be cancelled without refund.

5. Health and Safety

  • Safe Working Environment: Service seekers are required to provide a safe, healthy, and non-hostile environment for domestic helpers. Service seekers should not place domestic helpers in dangerous or harmful situations.
  • No Substance Abuse: Both parties are prohibited from consuming alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances during service provision. Such behaviour may lead to account suspension or termination.
  • Report Unsafe Conditions: Domestic helpers should report any unsafe or hazardous working conditions to Sitiwork immediately.

6. Service Quality and Responsibilities

  • Domestic Helpers’ Responsibilities: Domestic helpers are expected to perform their duties with reasonable care, skill, and professionalism. They should adhere to the agreed-upon tasks and timeline and ensure high-quality service.
  • Service Seekers’ Responsibilities: Service seekers must provide clear, accurate, and reasonable instructions for domestic helpers. They should treat domestic helpers with fairness and pay promptly according to the agreed-upon terms.

7. Payment and Compensation

  • Timely Payments: All payments for services rendered must be made through the Sitiwork platform’s payment system in a timely manner, according to the agreed-upon terms.
  • No Off-Platform Payments: Users are prohibited from making or accepting payments outside the platform. Violating this policy may result in account suspension or termination.

8. Confidentiality and Privacy

  • Respecting Privacy: All users must respect the privacy of others. Any personal information shared during the course of service should remain confidential.
  • No Unauthorized Sharing: Users must not take photos, videos, or otherwise share personal information of other users without their explicit consent.

9. Reporting Violations

  • Duty to Report: Users are encouraged to report any violations of this Code of Conduct or any inappropriate behaviour they witness or experience. Reports can be made through the Sitiwork platform’s customer service channels or via email at connect@myhamana.in.
  • Investigations: Sitiwork will investigate all reports of misconduct thoroughly. Depending on the severity of the violation, actions may include suspension or termination of accounts and, where necessary, referral to law enforcement agencies.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Mediation: In the event of a dispute between a domestic helper and a service seeker, Sitiwork offers mediation services to help resolve the issue.
  • Arbitration: If a dispute cannot be resolved through mediation, it may be referred to a mutually agreed-upon arbitration process, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.

11. Termination of Accounts

  • Suspension and Termination: Sitiwork reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user’s account for violations of this Code of Conduct. In severe cases, the account may be permanently banned, and future bookings cancelled without refund.
  • Immediate Termination: In cases of serious violations such as sexual misconduct, harassment, violence, or illegal activity, Sitiwork may immediately terminate the offending user’s account without prior warning.

12. Legal Consequences

  • Potential Legal Action: Serious breaches of this Code of Conduct, including illegal activities or harassment, may lead to legal consequences, including referral to law enforcement for further action.

13. Changes to the Code of Conduct

  • Right to Modify: Sitiwork reserves the right to modify or update this Code of Conduct at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
